Create highly formatted reports with what-if scenario models, interactive dashboards and charts - and deliver them over the web, email, and embedded in enterprise applications. Includes Crystal Reports 2008 and Xcelsius Engage 2008.
Why Crystal Reports 2008 Visual Advantage ?
- Design feature-rich reports and easily embed them in developer applications.
- Empower your users to make better decisions with on-report what-if analysis.
- Present your data like never before with stunning report visualizations.
- Minimize your IT and developer effort with interactive reports.
- Save design time by embedding Xcelsius models in reports without coding.- Save almost $400 when you buy the combined solution.
Recommended for: report designers, IT professionals, database administrators, power users, and application developers.
- Interactive report viewing experience: End users can sort, filter, and reformat reports dynamically within the report viewers (supported in the .NET Webform and .NET Winform), all without forcing a database refresh - and answer more business questions with fewer report files.
- On-report scenario modeling: Access a powerful, dynamic decision support tool when you integrate SWF content files from Xcelsius (not included) into your Crystal Reports web applications.
- Operational reporting: Make your reports actionable by integrating FlexBuilder applications that provide business-user UI widgets to perform tasks such as database write-back and workflow integration.
- Advanced report publishing: Publish personalized reports such as invoices, statements, and other marketing materials to thousands of recipients in a single publishing session. Create multiple reports based on different data sources, loaded with data, personalized for each recipient, combined into a single file (such as PDF), then distributed to a dynamic list of recipients – all with a single action. Content can be optionally archived, printed, or emailed.
- Report design: Use the visual report designer for rapid data access and creation of highly formatted reports. New crosstab formulas reduce report design time by supporting custom calculations for rows and columns.
- Data access: Native, ODBC, OLE DB, and JDBC connectivity to relational, OLAP, web services, XML, legacy, and enterprise data sources, and the new salesforce.com driver.
- Application integration: Crystal Reports 2008 for Visual Studio (included) makes it easy to add reports to your application. You can drag and drop viewer components into your .NET Winform or Webform projects and use the SDKs to control report viewing, printing, exporting, plus programming report creation and modification. Deploy your application with the Crystal Reports 2008 runtime using either merge modules (MSMs) or a separate standalone MSI setup file.
- Free runtime licensing: You won’t have to pay additional licensing fees for multiple servers or CPUs with the royalty-free runtime license for unlimited internal corporate deployment of the Crystal Reports .NET report engine components.
- Single edition: Crystal Reports 2008 comes in a single edition that meets the broadest range of user and application requirements. It replaces three Crystal Reports XI editions: Standard, Professional and Developer.
It is the FIRST - and the ONLY - application that lets you transform Excel spreadsheets into interactive data visualizations.
It is tightly integrated with Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF and requires little to no end-user training.
Why Xcelsius Present 2008?

Hierarchical DataGridView is a brand new Windows Forms component that extends DataGridView component included in Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and .Net Framework 3.5. It is a unique grid control that organizes, edits and displays data in hierarchical form.
Hierarchical DataGridView can be seen as a mixture of Visual Studio 2005 or Visual Studio 2008 DataGridView, Microsoft Project or Microsoft Access data table and simple Excel sheet.
If you are a Visual Studio 2005 or Visual Studio 2008 developer and the terms such as data relation, self-referencing hierarchy, data structure, multilevel data, master-detail, parent-child, category-subcategory, tree or recursion describe the problem that you have, Hierarchical DataGridView is the right component to solve it.
Hierarchical DataGridView control supports data binding to any data source that implements IList, IListSource, IBindingList and IBindingListView interfaces such as BindingSource, Collections, Lists, Business Objects, etc. Binding to Nullable Data Types are also supported.
Features:
- Customizable table for displaying hierarchical data.
- Not a single line of program code needs to be written in order to display hierarchy.
- Direct data editing, arbitrary sorting and rearranging of columns without losing hierarchical view.
- Possibility of automatic data sorting without losing hierarchical view.
- Advanced sorting possibility with the ability to use custom sort indicators in column headers.
- Bound, Unbound and Virtual mode.
- Before / After events allow unlimited flexibility when using hierarchy
- Customizable style appearance and behavior.
- Conformed with Microsoft.NET Framework Design Guidelines.
- Analyzed with Microsoft FxCop tool - Hierarchical DataGridView component has fulfilled all requirements.
- Ready for Windows Vista.
Hierarchical DataGridView can be used in various situations such as:
- project management,
- organizational structures,
- task management,
- file and directory browsing,
- geographical data.
